Sponsor A Tutor – Give a Youth the Opportunity to Succeed

Prospera Initiatives is delighted to launch an exciting new initiative that will give members of the community the opportunity to make a personal impact on the lives of at-risk Latino youth.  The Sponsor a Tutor program matches young people who dream of a college education with a sponsor who will help them make that dream a reality.

While many after school programs offer safe haven and fun activities, our program model is unique in focusing youth on the importance of giving back to their community.   

Every tutor in our programs earns a college scholarship award for each year of service.  But, most importantly he or she gains valuable job skills and a vision of what the future holds for him or her as a bilingual professional.

Youth Tutor Sponsor: $500 per Tutor 
Help sponsor the costs of participation in the Heritage Language Literacy Club for deserving Latino students in 5th grade through 12th grade. Youth Tutor Sponsors will: 

• Be partnered with a Heritage Language Literacy Club Tutor whose progress you are encouraged to follow.
• Receive a photograph and a biography of your Youth Tutor.
• Be invited to a special reception to “Meet the Tutors” and their families
• Be recognized in printed programs, newsletters, and on Prospera Initiatives’ website as a Youth Tutor Sponsor.
• Be invited to our annual Scholarship Award Ceremony
